As a child, I grew up surrounded by animals on a sheep and horse farm, and knew that caring for animals would be my life’s work and passion from a young age. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2004, I happily accepted a position at Springer Animal Hospital. I quickly fell in love with this community of horse, livestock and pet owners. In 2010, with the support of my husband Chris, I took over ownership of Springer Animal Hospital. I enjoy all aspects of mixed animal practice, from preventative health care to lameness and surgery. The biggest joy in my life is spending time with my family, Chris and our three children on our “Funny Farm” in Warren, watching the animals play while digging my hands into the garden soil. My newest challenge and love is a young strong-willed and gregarious horse named Lute. He reminds me every day what made me fall in love with this profession.
